Google Maps Navigation Rolls Out to More Countries

Google has released its Google Maps navigation system for countries outside the United Kingdom and United States of America.

According to a post on the Google Mobile blog, the Google Maps 4.2 navigation feature has now been made available in countries including Canada, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland and Belgium.

The blog also revealed that Google Voice search is now available in French, German, Italian and Spanish. The feature had already been made available in English, Mandarin Chinese and Japanese.

The Google Maps application provides free turn-by-turn navigation with voice directions and is available for phones running on Google's Android mobile phone OS 1.6 or higher.

iPhones and handsets running Windows Mobile, Blackberry OS and Symbian can also make use of Google Maps' turn-by-turn navigation, but they currently don't have access to the Google Voice search function.
