Bookies back Apple iPhone 4

Odds on to come out on top

Bookmaker Paddy Power has cut the odds on the Apple iPhone outselling its next-gen rivals in 2010.

The punter-powered business seems to thinq that Apple's fourth-generation iPhone is a dead cert to clean up.

The iPhone, which was the 4-6 favourite prior to yesterday’s launch of its fourth incarnation has been further cut to odds of 4-9 to rule the mobile roost.

Google's Nexus One has drifted from 5/2 to 3/1 in the betting while the Samsung Wave is now a seemingly unlikely 8/1 to come out on top.

A SpokesPaddy said: "It looks certain that the iPhone will easily outsell its closest rivals this year, I guess the only question remaining is, by how much."

The current betting is:

Most Global Sales 2010

4/9    Apple iPhone (From 4/6)
3/1    Google Nexus One
8/1    Samsung Wave
10/1  Motorola Quench

Paddy Power notes that all prices are subject to fluctuation, but you probably guessed that.
