Apple Releases Update for Mac OS X Snow Leopard

Apple has released a new software update for its Mac OS X Snow Leopard operating system.

The Mac OS X 10.6.4 update is set to fix a problem that caused the trackpad to become unresponsive.

The update also fixes issues with Adobe's Creative Suite 3 and iadds extended HTML 5 support to Apple's Safari 5 web browser, along with Reader functionality.

The 315MB software update can be downloaded from Apple's support site. The company advises all Snow Leopard users to install it to enhance the security, stability and compatibility of their systems.

Apart from fixing the CS3 and trackpad issues, the update will also resolve issues related to copying, renaming, or deleting files on SMB file servers, improve the reliability of VPN connections, address a playback issue with the DVD player and resolve issues that arise while editing photos in full-screen mode on iPhoto or Aperture.
