MSI blows out new Wind netbook

MSI has added to its Wind series with the U135DX netbook.

The 10-inch Wind U135DX comes equipped with Intel’s Atom processor N455, which supports DDR3 system memory and works with MSI’s TDE turbo drive technology, which alters the clock speed of the processor depending on what you're up to.

With the machine being Atom-powered this most likely means that, if it's on, the processor will be at full speed. When it's off it'll be at zero.

The U135DX also upgrades the memory support for upto 2GB of DDR3 memory.

The body of the MSI Wind U135DX is coated in MSI’s own Colour Film Print to help protect against scratches and wear. It comes in black or white.

The Wind U135DX boasts a power-saving 10-inch LED back-lit screen with 1024×600 resolution and is equipped with MSI’s ECO engine power saving technology. This allows you to select from among five power management levels. Again, 'on' and 'off' are probably the only ones you'll ever need.

The MSI U135DX will be available in August priced at £229 from everyone's favourite catalogue shop, Argos.
