Sepaton Lowers Cost of Cloud Security

Data protection firm Sepaton has released version 5.4 of its software for cloud-based security appliances.

The company said its Storage Pool and de-duplication technology DeltaStor will allow public and private cloud service providers to cost-effectively protect data for multiple customers using a single Sepaton S2100 ES2 appliance, maximising their return on investment.

In an official statement, Jay Kramer, Sepaton's vice president for global marketing, said: "Sepaton changes the way we think about the cloud by providing the industry’s only highly efficient way to manage petabytes of data from multiple entities on a single system while optimising [capital and operational expenditure].”

The latest cloud-based data protection solutions being offered by Sepaton have been designed to support a Hitachi Data Systems AMS2100 array, which comes with 1TB and 2TB storage options.

The multi-tenancy design incorporated by the company into its solutions will allow clients to use different storage technologies according to their requirements.
