The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro smartphone might be a brand new phone but its price has already been slashed with the nimble handset available for sale from Very for as little as £199 on O2's network.
The device is currently on sale at O2 for £25 per month with 100 minutes, unlimited texts, data and unlimited Wi-Fi with the phone costing £49 on a two year contact, which pushes the TCO up to £649.
Presented as the smaller version of the Sony Ericsson X10, the phone comes with a 2.55-inch capacitive touchscreen with a QVGA resolution and is touted by SE hsa the smallest Android smartphone.
it comes with a slideout keyboard, 3G, HDSPA, Wi-Fi, FM Radio, a 2GB microSD card, a 5-megapixel camera, onboard GPS and a killer design. Unfortunately, Sony Ericsson has settled for Android OS 1.5 rather than the more recent Android OS 2.1.
However, Sony Ericsson has already confirmed that its Android platform will be due a refresh towards the end of the year, by which time, Android 3.0 Gingerbread will have been launched. The Xperia X10 Mini Pro is available here.
