Apple’s latest iOS 4 update has been jailbroken within hours of its release, technology news website The Inquirer reports. The Cupertino-based iPhone maker had released the software update for its existing iPhone operating system on 15 July, claiming it would rectify the antenna issue that has plagued the iPhone 4.

Apple has increased its share of the laptop market, will nearly one in ten notebooks sold in teh second quarter of 2010 bearing the company's logo.

Apple has approved Mozilla’s Firefox Home for use on its iPod Touch and iPhone devices, the Telegraph reports. Firefox Home, submitted for approval on 30 June, allows users to synchronise their history, bookmarks and recently opened tabs on their personal computers with their Apple gadgets.
