Microsoft has launched an all-new corporate slogan, “Be what’s next”, the Seattle Times reported on Thursday.
The software giant announced the new tagline at its Microsoft Global Experience conference, currently being held in Atlanta, Georgia. News was first emerged via postings by attendees of the conference on micro-blogging platform Twitter.
"This new tagline, 'Be What’s Next,' reflects the opportunity for our employees and our billion customers to join together in creating the future,” stated Lou Gellos, spokesman for Microsoft in an official statement.
The video in which the new tagline was displayed made its way to millions of viewers on YouTube on Thursday morning, before being pulled. Technology website Engadget managed to grab a copy of it before it disappeared.
“Be what’s next” replaces “Your potential, our passion” as the new slogan for Microsoft, the world leader in operating systems for more than a decade.
Now the focus is on the company - often labelled a mere follower in the industry - to deliver and live up to its new, catchy slogan.
