iPhone 4 Mocked In Motorola Droid X Ad

Motorola has mocked Apple's iPhone 4 'antennagate' issues in a new advert for its upcoming Android-based Droid X smartphone.

The advert, titled "No Jacket Required", pokes fun at Apple's iPhone 4 woes, while ridiculing claims by Apple CEO Steve Jobs that Motorola's Droid X handset suffers from the same signal problems.

At Apple's recent 'Antennagate' press conference, Jobs presented a video claiming that the  transmission issues affecting the company's iPhone 4 handset were present in smartphones from all manufacturers, including the Motorola Droid X.

Motorola, which posted the advert on its Facebook page, claims: “At Motorola, we believe a customer shouldn’t have to dress up their phone for it to work properly. That’s why the DROID X comes with a dual antenna design.”

"The kind that allows you to hold the phone any way you like to make crystal clear calls without a bulky phone jacket. For us it's just one of those things that comes as a given when you've been making mobile phones for over 30 years."
