Beta 5 gets ribbons all round

A sneak preview video of Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac has cropped up on video sharing site YouTube.

The beta 5 software holds few surprises for anyone familiar with Microsoft's all-powerful suite of productivity applications. Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook all come with a ribbon interface. The new versions of MSN messenger and Outlook seem to have been redesigned from the ground up.

New themes and transitions have been added to Powerpoint, and Word has a new full screen view. Apart from that, it's same old same old.
