Samsung Galaxy Tab Firmware Leaked Online

The first firmware version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab to be leaked online apparently reveals the specs of the device and runs only on Android OS 2.2.

According to Samsung-Firmwares.com, the Samsung Galaxy Tab, otherwise known as the P1000, is apparently destined to equip a European version of the tablet (possibly the one that goes on the Vodafone model).

The firmware, already in its third version, has been released on the 10th of August (last week) and points to a WVGA screen, a QVGA front webcam and a 2048x1536 rear camera.

The Tab is set to use an S5PC110 processor, launched in September 2009, and clocked at 1GHz based on a Cortex A8-based core. The S5PC110 can play 1080p content with a built-in HDMI interface and is already present on the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone.

Other features revealed by Samsung-Firmware include Wi-Fi, Swype, Bluetooth, GPS, Javascript and Flash compatibility via Froyo.
