iPhone 4 goes to China
Herro! Herro! How do I hold this thing again?
Apple's iPhone 4 is set to launch on China Unicom's network in the populous republic, AFP said Chinese state-run media.
The network will also try and flog Apple's iPad in China, where folk with any sense could probably buy a knock-off at a fraction of a the price.
China Unicom only began to sell the iPhone 3GS recently and will introduce the model number 4 in September, according to the reports.
The iPad will follow some time later Caixan said.
In what spokesmen described as a simple cock-up, China Unicom was flogging the iPhone 3GS at 4,999 yuan - 1,000 yuan more than the Apple Store in Beijing was charging. The Store sold its entire stock on day one, apparently.
There was no guarantee something similar might happen again.
