Toshiba Sells Out On Libretto W100 Touchscreen

The Toshiba Libretto W100, a dual screen laptop from the Japanese manufacturer that went on sale on Amazon on Monday on Amazon, has sold out within 48 hours.

The US retailer now has a page up saying that it doesn't know when the item will be back in stock and that it has sold out because of overwhelming demand (ed : or because of a chronic lack of stock).

The W100 (which is also known as the W105 outside Japan) weighs only 1.8 pounds, has two 7-inch capacitive touchscreen displays (with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels), runs on Windows 7 Home Premium, packs an Intel Dual core processor, 2GB RAM, a 62GB SSD, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a webcam, a microSD reader, a USB port and a 8-cell battery.

Toshiba has yet to say when the tablet - which offers up to six ways of entering text - will be available in the UK.

It went on sale in the US for $1100 and was available exclusively from Amazon as part of Toshiba's celebration to mark the company's 25th anniversary of its notebook division.
