Facebook users can block anyone they wish - except founder Mark Zuckerberg.
According to tech news site Tech Crunch, registered users cannot block the founder and chief executive officer of Facebook from their accounts.
According to the Block Zuck blog, anyone who tries to attempt it will see the words: “General Block failed error: Block failed.”
Block Zuck says that this is "because, of course, you can’t block Mark Zuckerberg".
A common platform for social networking for over 500 million users across the world, Facebook has turned into a global phenomenon. However, concerns for privacy and the security of the website have remained a consistent issue with regulators and users alike.
Recent statistics have suggested that more than 30 billion individual pieces of data, including internet links, images and news feeds are shared by users on the website every month.
The inability to block anyone on the site, even if it is the founder, will only add to users' privacy fears.
