Samsung Galaxy Tab video teaser tips up

iPad killer launches September 2nd

Samsung's often-predicted answer to Apple's pioneering iPad is coming closer to fruition.

A teaser video for the as-yet-unseen tablet device, the Samsung Galaxy Tab, has appeared in all of its dark, moody blurrycam secretness and has gadget fans salivating and Apple fanboys worried.

Very few technical details of the device have emerged at time of writing but Samsung is bound to have learned from Apple's apparent mistakes, so we'd expect the 7-inch, Android 2.2-powered prodable PC to include any or all of the following: two cameras (at least one lens bezel appears in the teaser) to enable video calling, at least one USB port and an HDMI port for watching videos on a bigger screen.

The video suggest that the Swype input method previously spotted on the Galaxy S smart phone will be used, but for pricing details, more technical information, or the actual, honest-to-goodness retail launch date you'll just have to wait for the September 2nd announcement.
