The Android-based Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Pro Mini has dropped in price and is now available on O2 Pay as you go for as little as £175 including free delivery, almost £75 less than the SIM-Free version of the handset.
Available at Prepaymania, the device, which has recently been the focus of an extensive marketing campaign by Sony Ericsson, comes with a smallish 2.55-inch QVGA screen but sports a full QWERTY keyboard underneath.
The Xperia X10 Pro Mini is powered by a 600MHz Qualcomm processor comes with 128MB onboard storage which can be expanded thanks to the microSD card reader. Other features include a 5-megapixel camera with AF, geo-tagging and flash, GPS, VGA recording, Accelerometer, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a FM Radio.
Note that Sony Ericsson chose to use Android OS v1.6 together with the company's own proprietary Timescape user interface, not the best of choices but SE said that the OS would be upgraded soon.
Given that the phone is less expensive than the Xperia X10 Mini available at O2, the Pro proves to be a well featured handset with a hard to match value for money ratio.
