Shazam Entertainment has released an updated version of its music streaming applications for Apple's iOS 4 platform.
The company has announced a major update for its free and paid for applications for the iPhone and iPod Touch, including many new features for Shazam, Shazam RED Special Edition and the $5 Shazam Encore 3.0.
Tech news site PC World reports that both the paid for and free versions of the application offer users more access to the YouTube videos of the tracks they tag, the ability to search iTunes for ringtones and videos, as well as more track and album information.
The updates include the addition of a Discover tab. The Discover tab allows users to access the Shazam Tag Charts, which charts the most tagged tracks listened to by Shazam users from 20 countries.
"This is a major enhancement for our customers. Whether it is Shazam’s free, premium or RED version, we have made a significant investment to provide the most intuitive, interactive and immersive discovery experience yet,” said Andrew Fischer, chief executive of Shazam.
