PC World Launches iPad Media Streaming Service

UK retailer PC World has released a cloud-based media streaming service for Apple's iPad.

The iPad Media Streaming service from PC World will allow users to store up to 100 GB of media files in a cloud based locker and access them from their iPad tablet. Users will be able to stream music, videos and photos, straight to their iPad device anywhere they are, using a 3G or Wi-Fi connection.

According to PC World's The Tech Guys, the service will charge users around £40 per year and can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store.

The Tech Guys added: "You will need an iTunes account to download the Media Stream app."

The service will not only allow users to stream their entire media collection onto the their iPads, but also stream data from their home PCs or Macs, view their photo albums and upload photos to social networks such as Facebook and Flickr.

The media streaming service has been designed in partnership with Livedrive.
