UK supermarket giant Tesco has released a free application for the iPhone to allow users to do their grocery shopping on the go.
The application, which is independent of all other Tesco applications available on the App Store, will allow Tesco customers registered on its website to find products, create a shopping list and select a delivery date from their smartphone.
Tesco says that the application will be in sync with the website, and that users will be able to add any item that they may have forgotten while shopping online from their home computers.
“We’re always looking for ways to make life easier for customers. The iPhone app creates a fantastic new way to shop with Tesco.com whenever you want, whether you’re adding last-minute essentials or starting a new order,” said Tesco.com CEO Laura Wade-Gery in a statement.
The new application, which has been developed and designed by Ribot, is available for download from the App Store.
