Halo : Reach Tops Charts Already

Early figures show that Halo : Reach has managed to unsurprisingly conquered the video games charts across the UK, only a few hours after it was launched.

HMV, Amazon and Play all three had Halo : Reach and Halo : Reach, the Limited Collectors Edition listed as number one and number two on their game charts.

There are signs that there has been an "halo" effect as well (pun intended) as Amazon reported that sales of Halo Reach Branded Xbox Live Gold membership increased fivefold overnight and Xbox 360 Console with Kinect went up by 266 per cent over the same period.

Other UK-based gaming charts like ELSPA, VGChartz, Chart-Tracker and Games Tracker have yet to update their listings, something that will be happening by next week.

Halo : Reach was launched earlier this morning with reports of long queues in front of games shops like Game or Gamestation; The Telegraph reports that some gamers have been waiting for more than a day to get their hands first on the game.
