Halo Reach clocks up 2,000 years of fragging

The latest title in the popular Halo franchise has achieved some pretty impressive statistics since its release on September 14th.

Just six days later and Halo Reach maker Bungie says that 31 million games have been played amounting to more than 2,300 years of play.

The Bungie team also says the first person multiplayer shooter has also broken Halo 3's previous record for the most online players at one time with launch-day activity breaching the 700,000 mark.

The XBox-only game made more than $200 million in sales in its first 24 hours. Bungie was originally a developer for the Mac platform but Microsoft put and end to all of that nonsense when it snapped up the company for less than $30 million a decade ago.
