Mozilla has announced that the full version its Firefox web browser will not be available for use on Apple's iPhone.
The announcement came after Mozilla employee and Firefox Home for iPhone team member Raghavan wrote a blog detailing the upcoming Firefox Home features.
Raghavan wrote on the blog: “People have asked about adding more browser-like features to Firefox Home, but there are technical and logistical restrictions that make it difficult, if not impossible, to build the full Firefox browser for the iPhone.”
He said that, instead, Mozilla will be working towards developing Firefox Home for iPhone further, and that the company is working on bringing its Firefox Home application onto both the BlackBerry and Symbian platforms.
The Firefox Home for iPhone is a cloud-based application that allows users to access their Firefox desktop history, bookmarks and tabs from their iPhones.
The company added that it would consider whether or not to make a Firefox Home application for the iPad.
