Foursquare Symbian App Now Available In Ovi

The official Foursquare app for Symbian-based Nokia smartphones is now available for download from the Ovi app store.

The Finnish mobile manufacturer has officially announced the mobile version of the location-based social networking site Foursquare's application for its app store Ovi, Tech Watch reports.

According to the news, Nokia announced the Foursquare app along with a few new handsets during the Nokia World 2010.

The Foursquare application is similar to the one available for Apple’s iTunes App Store and Google’s Android Marketplace.

The application is compatible with its Symbian version three operating system as well as older versions, including S60 3.2.

“Foursquare helps you find new ways to explore the world around you. See where your friends are, learn about the places they frequent, keep track of all things you want to do and learn about new things from friends,” the description of the app reads.

The Nokia App Store also have integrated Twitter and Facebook applications, allowing users to sync their updates on all major social networking platforms.
