Google revealed the names of its partner channels for its upcoming Google TV on Monday.
The internet search giant unveiled Google TV at the developer’s conference in San Francisco early this year.
Google’s first effort to combine TV and Internet for use in living rooms has attracted a number of channel partners including Netflix, Pandora, Amazon, Google’s video sharing service YouTube,Turner Broadcasting, CNBC, the National Basketball Association, USA Today, Twitter, Napster, Vevo and the New York Times.
The Google TV hardware has been formed by assembling a set top box by Logitech called Revue, and high definition television set along with a Blue ray disc player by Sony.
The cost price of the hardware has not yet been revealed by the company, but Google has stated that it will make its technology available for other companies also.
"This is just the beginning. Over the next few weeks, you can expect to hear from more sites that are enhancing their Web content for the television," said Ambarish Kenghe, the developer product manager for Google TV at Mountain View.
