HTC will update the Legend and the Desire, adding new colours and finish for both Android handsets in what seems to be a last-ditched attempt to prolong their longevity before they're inevitably replaced.
The aluminium-clad Legend will come in a phantom black finish while the Desire now comes in brilliant white. The Desire was available in Silver and Urban brown colours until now while silver was the only colour for the Legend.
HTC's president for EMEA, Florian Seiche, said in a statement that "There has been a real passion for these phones since they launched. The phantom black HTC Legend and brilliant white Desire cap a quality mobile experience with an exclusive and premium finish".
Two more handsets, the HTC Desire Z and the HTC Desire HD are expected to go on sale within weeks and are likely to complement the HTC Desire.
The Taiwanese company will also launch a number of mobile phones next week as Microsoft launches its Windows Phone 7 mobile platform.
