Nokia has announced that its latest Symbian^3-based device, C7, has started to ship to customers across the world.
The Nokia C7 is the second Symbian^3 device, following the launch of the N8, and comes with better hardware specs and improvements to the OS.
The company wrote on its blog: “Less than a month since it was announced at Nokia World, the Nokia C7 has begun shipping to to customers around the world.”
According the Nokia, the estimated retail price for the smartphone is €335 before taxes. Price may vary according to region and carrier.
The phone is a touch more expensive than its iOS and Android-based competitors, but Nokia claims that the Symbian^3 experience, coupled with its hardware, will be more than adequate to compete with its already established rivals.
The smartphone comes with an AMOLED 3.5 touch screen, a 12 MP camera, built-in 16GB storage, and a beautiful steel and glass design. C7 also comes with support for HD video recording and be focused on social networking.
