Amazon has released the Windowshop application designed specifically for use on Apple's iPad tablet device.

The online retail giant has made the Windowshop app quite user friendly, complete with multi-touch capabilities and easy navigation options.

According to Amazon, the app will offer all the products available on the website and is available to download for free from the Apple App Store.

Jeff Bezos, the founder and CEO of Amazon said in a statement: "Amazon Windowshop is a top-to-bottom rewrite of Amazon.com - designed and built without compromise just for iPad." 

“Same selection, same low prices, same fast delivery, same benefits of your Amazon Prime membership – just a completely new, fluid interface designed specifically for lean-back, touch screen tablets.”

Users will be able to browse through all the 40 different categories from left to right.

Each section has the products listed in a vertical fashion, making it easier to browse. Tapping on a product will make the app zoom to the product where all the details are present.
