The HTC Mecha has appeared briefly on the HTCsense.com website; it appears to be a new Android-based handset set to be launched fairly soon by the Taiwanese manufacturer.
Engadget managed to grab a pair of screenshots before any data related to it was zapped from the HTCSense.com website into eternity.
The actual codename of that phone emerged back in August, courtesy of Androidguys, who also spewed out the names, Speedy, Blitz and Spade.
Other than speculate on the phone itself, there is nothing much beside. It will be an Android handset, possibly powered by Android OS 2.3 or 3.0 (Gingerbread) with the new HTCSense UI.
As for most recent handsets, we'd expect it to come with a WVGA screen (3.7-inch or above), a Qualcomm 1GHz Snapdragon processor, no internal memory (expandable via microSD card) and the usual array of features - Wi-Fi, 5 or 8-megapixel camera, triple sensors.
