US-based tech retail giant BestBuy has opened up it's new UK online store ahead of the upcoming holiday season.
The launch of the online depot is being hailed as an important milestone by the company, which only opened its first UK brick-and-mortar store in Thurrock this May and is now running seven mega-stores across the country. The company also has plans to open another 5 outlets in 2011.
According to the retail giant, the BestBuy UK online store will offer all the consumer electronic products stocked in its high street shops. The company said that users will be ale to choose between having thier product delivered to their homes, or to their nearest store for collection.
Apart from the gadgets, the website will also contain informational articles and guides on the latest technology and products in the market, a consumer forum and a customer reviews section.
DeVere Forster, the Managing Director for Online at Best Buy UK, said in a statement to Retail Gazette: “The launch of our e-commerce store on BestBuy.co.uk marks a key milestone for the business and helps to make buying technology simple, inspiring and tailored to each of our customers.”
