The names of upcoming webOS 2.0 based Palm devices have been revealed in the source code for the new mobile operating system.
The names Broadway, Mantaray, Stingray, Windsor and Roadrunner wereunearthed in the source code,WebOS Internals reports. It is most likely that these are only code names and the devices are most probably still under development.
Previously, experts predicted that HP will storm into the smartphone market by launching multiple webOS 2.0-based devices and the source code seems to confirm just that.
The code also suggests that the devices are completely new and sport fresh new hardware from HP Palm.
The computing giant has a hard task ahead of it if it is to leave a mark on the already competitive and well established smartphone market. With stiff competition between the market leaders Apple, Google and RIM, the entry of a newly revamped OS will add a sense of unpredictability into the mix.
