News@10: Salesforce Appoints JP Rangaswami As Head Scientist, Richard Branson Announces iPad Magazine & European Broadband Speed

Salesforce has hired JP Rangaswami for the newly created position of chief scientist at the company. According to Salesforce, Rangaswami, who was previously employed with BT at the same position, will be responsible for pitching Salesforce's real-time, mobile and social cloud based apps to European customers and contribute to the general product strategy.

European broadband speeds have drastically improved over the last year according to a new study by the European Commission. The EC found that 14 per cent more broadband lines run at 10mbps compared to last year.
