Bluetooth headset maker Jawbone has partnered with enterprise networking giant Cisco to boost its headset line in SME and UK channels.
According to Mobile News, the company is looking to offer its ICON bluetooth headset line to enterprise companies in the UK under the Cisco deal.
Currently, Jawbone offers Micro-P, 20:20 Mobile and Kondor headsets in the UK, through Play.com, Carphone Warehouse, Amazon, Harrods and T-Mobile.
Jawbone's foray into the enterprise market should be greatly aided by the new Cisco deal. This will see Cisco offering Jawbone's ICON headsets, which allow users to make and receive phone calls from IP phones, fixed lines and mobile phones from a single headset console.
The founder and CEO of Jawbone, Hosain Rahman, said to Mobile News: “These are some of the reasons Cisco chose to work with us rather than another, longer-established player in this space. We are far ahead from a technology and innovation perspective. No one else has a platform where you can plug in a device and get applications."
