More people have been looking for HTC smartphones than for Apple's iconic iPhone 4 handset according to a research carried out by a mobile phone comparison website.
Good Mobile Phones published the results last week which show that the Desire, the Desire HD and the Wildfire were the most searched for items on its website with Apple's iPhone 4 coming in sixth place.
The Samsung Galaxy S and the Nokia N8 were 4th and 5th ahead of Apple's flagship phone with the Blackberry Curve 8520, the Samsung Tocco Lite, the Blackberry Torch and the Sony Xperia X10 Mini making the rest of the top 10 most search handsets.
Mark Owen, managing director of Good Mobile phones said that the results show that HTC has taken the lead in terms of consumer demand for their smartphones.
Except, he is wrong; not only does his research covers only a minute fraction of the market (a sample of Good Mobile Phones customers) but the most important sources of them all, Google, shows that the iPhone 4 is by far the most searched for handset well ahead of HTC's models with the iPhone 3GS still capturing more traffic than the HTC Wildfire and the HTC Desire HD combined.
