T-Mobile has delayed the over-the-air (OTA) Froyo update for Samsung's Galaxy S smartphone.
According to ZD Net UK, the company had promised to deliver the update after business closed on November 30. It had said that even if the OTA update was not available, users will be able to download the update via a PC.
Users have been angered however, as neither of these promises have been kept, just as Google prepares to launch Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
One user wrote, “T-Mobile Galaxy S users are the most patience [sic] I have seen, but like everyone, we don't like to be told we are getting an update and then it is late and may never be given. It leaves a bad taste in the mouth”.
The mobile provider commented that, “Samsung are indicating the firmware will be made available at some point next week”, and that the update will not available over-the-air at all.
