News@10: COD: Black Ops Makes Over $1 Billion, One Fifth Of iPad Owners Own Second Device & Microsoft

Call Of Duty : Black Ops has set yet another record by becoming the first game to generate more than one billion dollar in less than 50 days. Activision said that gamers spent more than $650 million on the award winning game in the first five days after it went on sale with more than $350 million being generated in the following 45 days or so.

A new survey conducted by market research firm YouGov has revealed that 17 per cent of Apple iPad owners in the UK have two or more tablet devices in their home. The report surveyed 1,667 tablet owners, out of which, 782 people owned an iPad.

Microsoft has released the sales figures for its Windows Phone 7 platform, announcing that around 1.5 million handsets have been sold during the first six weeks. Previous estimates had pegged the figure to be as little as 200,000 since the platform's launch in Europe on 21 October.

The dispute between Kodak and Shutterfly looks set to threaten many image sites displaying pictures online, an expert has claimed. Speaking to BBC News, intellectual property specialist at law firm Pinsent Masons, Deborah Bould, said that Kodak’s case against Shutterfly could be used against a host of other online photo services, including Yahoo's Flickr and Google's Picassa.

Apple’s TV service is expected to notch up its millionth sale this week. The company’s latest sales forecasts predict that the hardware will top over one million sales in the next seven days, only 3 months after the product’s release in September.
