Apple is reportedly looking to hire fresh talent in speech technology, to boost the voice recognition capabilities of iOS.
In a job listing posted on 9 To 5 Mac, Apple is looking for experts to help the company improve its voice recognition features and to develop voice activation and a speech-based search function.
The advert revealed that the company is scouting specifically for four experts: one iOS Speech Application Engineer, two Speech Recognition Engineers and a Speech Research scientist.
The listing reads: “You will work with our team on a wide variety of speech-related development activities. We need a team player – you will be working closely with engineers on the Application Frameworks team as well as other teams at Apple – and we need someone who is comfortable working in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.”
