EA's FIFA 11 has beaten Call of Duty: Black Ops to the top spot of the UK video game charts for the last week of 2010.
This is the second time that Activision's blockbuster has been forced to relinquish first position in the charts. The last time being when Sony's Gran Turismo 5 was launched. Gran Turismo ended up in seventh position by the end of the year.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops game, which has amassed over $1 billion in sales, managed to stay on top of the GfK Chart-Track All Formats Top Ten chart for 5 weeks in a row, while its predecessor Modern Warfare 2 managed nine consecutive weeks at the top.
Need for Speed:Hot Pursuit ended the year in third spot, followed by Just Dance 2 and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood.
The sixth, eight and ninth positions went to Kinect Sports, The Sims 3 and Fallout: New Vegas respectively, with the tenth position going to Dance Central.
