The majority of Britons take their web gadgets to bed for playing games, surfing the web and watching web-based TV, a new survey has revealed.
The survey, which was conducted by PC World, revealed that Brits spend on average 2 hours every night using their web-capable electronic devices whilst sat in bed, suggesting that the bedroom is no longer just a place for sleeping and watching television.
The PC World survey, which polled 5,000 readers, also found that 5 out of 10 Britons admitted to using their mobile phones while bathing. It was also found that 50 per cent of Britons used their mobile phones for up to half an hour while in the bathroom.
Anina Castle, a spokeswoman for PC World, said in a statement: “The survey shows that technology has become such an important focus and pastime in our lives that we now spend more time using it at home than we do anything else, even ahead of eating, sleeping and working.”
