Sony and Square Enix have announced the official launch details of Tomb Raider Trilogy HD.
After previously producing the series across a variety of platforms, it appears that publisher Square Enix has chosen to tie-up with Sony and its PlayStation 3 only for the new release.
Tomb Raider Trilogy HD is to touch down in The UK exclusively on the PlayStation 3 from 25 March, CVG reports.
The new release will include fully revamped versions of the Legend, Anniversary and Underworld games, all remade in HD. The title will also feature an exclusive static theme pack, which includes PlayStation home avatars of Lara Croft and Viking Thrall, as well as making of trailers.
Sonia Im, Assistant Director of Public Relations for Square Enix, wrote on the PlayStation blog: “Personally I’m thrilled about the new direction Crystal Dynamics is taking Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider franchise overall. There is so much great stuff planned, I CANNOT wait until we can divulge more info.”
