Nintendo President Satoru Iwata has declared that it is up to the customers to decide the outcome of the 3DS-NGP war.
Speaking at an earnings briefing in Tokyo, Iwata refused to give his opinion on Sony's NGP hand-held device and said that consumers will decide on their own which device appeals more, CVG reports.
“They're trying to appeal to customers from a different direction than us. The customers will decide which is correct,” he told analysts.
Nintendo's 3DS hand-held device boasts a dual-screen design that lets users play 3D game titles without wearing special glasses. Nintendo has warned however, that the console's 3D mode could be harmful to a 7 year old's eyes, although have continually insisted that the console is not dangerous to children.
Sony's newly unveiled NGP gaming device packs a software package that is almost as powerful as a PS3 console. The company is banking on a new user interface, software and powerful gaming specs to win customers.
