Even though it has yet to be released in the UK, the price of the LG Star Optimus 2X has already been cut by £30 by Play.com.
The online retailer is now listing the smartphone for only £470 - down from £500 - with a release date on the 18th of March 2011.
The handset, the first one to feature a dual core processor, uses the Nvidia Tegra 2 processor clocked at 1GHz.
There's also a microSD card slot, 4-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, 1GB RAM, 8.5GB omboard storage, Wi-Fi, 3G, a eight-megapixel camera with a front facing 1.3-megapixel camera.
The Optimus 2X - which is LG's first true top of the range handset in two years - will be launched with Android 2.2 with an upgrade later this year to Android 2.3.
Vodafone has already confirmed (via Expansys) that it will be selling the handset on a two year contract for as little as £30.46 per month with 500MB data allowance.
