Announced at CES 2011 in Las Vegas, the LG Optimus Black has now been confirmed as coming to Everything Everywhere's T-Mobile, possibly in the first quarter of this year.
T-Mobile has already set up a "coming soon" page asking potential customers to register their interest.
The handset has some pretty unique specifications like a 4-inch energy efficient NOVA display with a WVGA resolution, an ultra-thin body - even thinner than the Sony Ericsson Xperia arc it seems - and a full HD (two megapixel) front facing camera.
There's also a pretty nifty Wi-Fi direct mode that allows the phone to transfer data between mobile devices without the need for a router.
At 109g, it is one of the lightest touchscreen smartphones we come across, that's 20 per cent less than the iPhone even with a bigger 4-inch display.
The Optimus Black will initially run on Android 2.2 with an update to Android 2.3 expected to come later this year.
