Both Vodafone and O2 are set to sell the new Sony Xperia Play handset as soon as it goes on sale with others such as Everything Everywhere and Three UK likely to follow suit. O2 confirmed a tweet on Twitter that the phone would go on sale with Vodafone confirming to Pocket-lint that they will also carry the PlayStation Phone.

Demand for Android developers in the UK has increased by four times from last year, an IT recruitment firm has found. According to research released by recruitment firm IntaPeople, job vacancies for Android developers increased by 424 per cent in the UK since the beginning of 2010. Meanwhile, during the same time period, demand for iPhone developers increased by 263 per cent.
