Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo Appears In Flesh In Video

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, which looks like an Xperia Play without the slide out game controller or the arc without the ultra slim form factor, has made a brief appearance in a 73 second video that was leaked on a little known blog.

My Android Life - which is based in Italy - posted a series of videos and loads of photos of the Xperia Neo, otherwise known as the Vivaz 2 or the MT15i, which will be launched next week at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The Neo is expected to feature a 1Ghz Qualcomm MSM7630 SoC with an Adreno 205 GPU (ed : the CPU is overclocked to 1GHz for some reason, up from 800MHz), 512MB RAM, a 3.7-inch 854x480 pixels capacitive touchsceen, a 1500mAh battery, an 8.1-megapixel camera and will run Android 2.3.

An anonymous user who apparently carried out a Quadrant benchmark test on the Neo scored more than 1500 points, nearly twice that of the Samsung Galaxy S. The arc is likely to be the better of the two as it features an MSM8255 chipset, comes with a bigger 4.2-inch screen and is thinner as well.
