Two more additional online retailers have shaven £20 off the price of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play even before the much-awaited phone goes on sale.

Both Play.com and Buymobilephones.net are listing the handset for £519.99, cheaper than at Expansys; Play says that the handset will be available from the 28th of March 2011, three days earlier than what Expansys published.

The Xperia Play has only just been released from MWC 2011 that the phone formerly known as the Playstation Phone is already attracting a lot of attention

All the five major mobile phone operators have already confirmed that the phone will be available on their networks.

However, you can only preorder it right now from Buymobilephone on all carriers except 3 UK for as little as £30.22 per month with loads of minutes and texts - which for a brand new, iconic phone is a great price.

The Xperia Play is the only Playstation Certified smartphone on the market and comes with the Playstation Suite. It is also the only one to have a proper analog game controller that allows it to interact with games like no other smartphone on the market.

Expect the price to fall under £500 as we near the launch of the handset towards the end of March.
