Mobile phone and telecoms manufacturer Alcatel has unveiled its One Touch portfolio of handsets to the upcoming year in Barcelona’s MWC, starting with five mobile phones with the One Touch 990, 910, 908, 890 and 891.
The Alcatel One Touch brand has had a 125-percent growth over the past year, with over 36 million units sold with their philosophy of a simple and accessible set of mobile phones that are easy to use.
Alcatel's One Touch 990 is due to arrive in May, aimed at the professional user with its smart design. The mobile has a 3.5-inch 320x480 HVGA capacitive touch screen and a 5 megapixel camera, along with a flash - whilst running from the Android 'Froyo' 2.2 OS.
The One Touch 908 has more of a mainstream design, with smaller 2.8-inch 240x320 QVGA capacitive touch screen, a 600Mhz processor along with a 2MP camera and Android 2.2 where its set to arrive in June.
Alcatel's One Touch 890 is more of a budget handset, with its 420Mhz CPU and 2.8-inch 240x320 resistive touch screen, whilst carrying the older version of Android 'Donut' 2.1 and a due date of June.
No details were on hand for the One Touch 891 and 910, but they too will be arriving over the next couple of months with a great deal more on the way.
