UK wireless carrier O2 has announced its plans to launch two new Android powered Samsung smartphones in the UK in March.
The operator will be offering the Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570 and Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 devices which will be powered by Android 2.2 Froyo.
On the O2 website, the company said that the devices will be offered with 'something special' but failed to inform us what that would be.
The Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570 smartphone comes with a 3.14 inch capacitive touch screen, a 600 MHz processor, Android 2.2 Froyo and support for 3G, Wi-Fi and A-GPS. Samsung has also included its TouchWiz 3.0 user interface, an accelerometer sensor for landscape view, a 2GB micro SD card which can be expanded to 32 GB and a 3.15 MP camera.
“With the latest Android software (Froyo) the Galaxy Mini will deliver super fast web browsing with flash 10.1 support and wireless tethering which lets you create a WiFi hotspot anywhere, anytime!,” the company said.
The Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 will come with an 800 MHz ARM processor, a large 3.5 inch touch screen, 5 MP camera with LED flash and 2X zoom and a micro SD card slot which can be fitted with 32 GB of memory.
Both the smartphones come with Swype text input technology.
