One of the more promising tablets expected on the market, the HTC Flyer, is set to come to the UK mid-April according to an email we got from one online retailer.

Clove Technology told us that user can preorder the tablet from the website for £600 although this price is set to change possibly downwards. They promise to give an exact ETA as well as a definitive price as soon as possible. A cheaper Wi-Fi only tablet will be available on sale for £423.

The Flyer is based on Android, although no one seems to know exactly whether it will be Gingerbread or Honeycomb. HTC only says on their website that it will be wrapped with its own Sense user interface.

At 415g and a 13.2mm thickness, the Flyer is not that heavy largely because it has a 7-inch 1024x600 pixels capacitive touchscreen, not unlike the Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet. It comes with a single core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC clocked at 1.5GHz which comes with an Adreno 220 GPU.

Other features include 1GB RAM, 32GB onboard memory expandable to 64GB via an optional 32GB microSDHC card, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, a microUSB port, DLNA, AGPS, a 5-megapixel camera with flash, a 1.3-megapixel front facing one and a 4000mAh battery.

One unique feature of the Flyer is its stylus or digital pen which can be used to draw, paint, enter content and do a number of things like jotting down notes and synchronising them with Evernote for example.
