What appears to be the first true picture of the HTC Pyramid, the next superphone handset from the Taiwanese manufacturer and true heir to the HTC Desire HD, has been published in Greece.
Techblog claims that it got the first true picture of the Pyramid, one that hasn't been photoshopped or modified.
The HTC Pyramid first came to our attention at the beginning of the year and many had expected the phone to be released in time for Mobile World Congress.
In reality, we had what seemed to be mundane phones like the Incredible S, the Desire S and the Wildfire S; handsets that will not trigger any passion.
The Pyramid, we hope, will be a different beast. The picture unearthed by Techblog shows it next to a HTC Desire HD and both handsets look very similar at least when seen from behind.
One can expect that the HTC Pyramid will have a 4.3-inch WVGA screen (but we're hopping for something better), a dual core Qualcomm processor, 1GB RAM, a front facing and a rear camera, flash, Android Gingerbread and HTC Sense.
One can also distinguish based on the picture from Techblog, that there will be a 3.5mm headphone socket at the top of the smartphone.
We suspect that HTC will launch the Pyramid after Apple launches the iPhone 5 so that it can finetune its launch strategy. You can read about our coverage of this handset here.
