Viewsonic Debuts Try Our "Tablet For Free" Campaign

In a bid to differentiate itself from the scores of tablet manufacturers on the market, peripheral manufacturer Viewsonic has announced that it will be offering its ViewPad 7 tablet on trial for up to 30 days from the date of the invoice/receipt and will pay up to £10 towards the cost of the postage and packing.

The campaign which runs from the 28th of March to the 30th of April will require the consumer to complete a request to return form and dispatch the Viewpad within 30 days from the date of the invoice.

Obviously, users will have to buy the tablet in the first place in order to benefit from the offer and will have to make sure that they return the item in good condition, complete with the accessories and the original packaging.

The Viewpad 7 is powered by an ARM11 SoC clocked at 600MHz, comes with a 7-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, runs on Android 2.2 with full access to Google Android Market (and is fully certified by Google).

At 375g and a 11.5mm thickness, it is just smaller and lighter than Apple iPad tablet and comes with 3G compatibility, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS, 512MB RAM, 512MB onboard storage and support for up to 32GB microSD cards.

Other features include three sensors, a 3240mAh battery that can provide enough juice for six hours, a rear three-megapixel camera and a VGA one in the front.

Alternatively, you can buy and collect the tablet from Maplin (for £300) as well and return it if you don't find it to your taste.
